Pastor Louis C. Knox Sr.
Elder Louis Calvin Knox Sr. was born and raised in Arkansas. He is the tenth of 12 children born to the late Jacob and Lula Knox. Eld. Knox is married to Carolyn L. Knox and to this union two sons and one daughter were born. Louis Calvin Knox Jr., Matthew Lemuel Knox, Ashley Ebonique Knox, two daughter's by marriage Kamelia Lorraine Knox and Rochell Denise Knox, and two grandchildren Kadence Lorraine Knox and Louis Calvin Knox III.
Elder Knox came to Flint, Michigan at the age of 17. He attended General Motors Institute, Baker College, and Mott Community College. He received his Associate of Arts and Bachelors of Business Administration from Baker College.

Elder Knox began preaching at the age of 16 while still in high school. After coming to Flint, Elder Knox became a member of Harris Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of the late Superintendent T. R. Harris. He was ordained an elder in the Church Of God In Christ by Bishop P. A. Brooks at the age of 23. At the age of 28, Bishop Brooks appointed Elder Knox pastor of the Rose Of Sharon C.O.G.I.C. The church was located formerly at 2023 Walnut Street. In 1989, Elder Knox and the members built their present edifice at 4302 Webber Street. The church is in phase II of its building program which includes a new sanctuary and renovation of the old sanctuary.
Elder Knox preaches with a special anointing from God. He has preached numerous times in the Northeast Michigan Jurisdiction State Convocation. A highlight of his ministry occurred when he preached in the National Holy Convocation of the Church Of God In Christ in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1998. Certainly, God has ordered the steps of this great man of God.
